Letters: Hannah

If you want to weep, weep now. If you want to write something, write it now. If you’re gonna make that call, say that goodbye now. If you’re gonna make a choice. Do it now.

The next time life gives you choices, choose. Don’t say you didn’t have any. Cos you do. Don’t choose thinking about what will hurt them less, choose what will make you happier. Choose the one you’re okay to live with for the rest of your life. Choose the one you’ll be proud to be crucified for. Choose love, even if it hurts. Even if you lose. Even if you don’t get anything out of it. Choose love because nothing will make sense otherwise. Your pain will be meaningless. Choose the one you will, even if it’s hard. It’s okay to choose yourself, Hannah. If you will it, it’s okay.

And when you make that choice, you don’t die for it. You live for it. But if you wanted to weep, weep now. You’re running out of blood. If you wanted to write something, write it now. Cos you’re running out of breath.
